Privacy policy
Effective August 24, 2026
Morsel Jar collects no data. None — not analytics, not identifiers, not crash reports. The app contains no networking code at all, so nothing you do in it can leave your device.
What stays on your device
Everything the app remembers is stored only on your iPhone, in local app storage:
- Your daily fortunes and the day they were opened
- Favorites you keep, and any short notes you add to them
- Your tone and focus preferences, appearance choice, and reminder time
- The optional first name you may enter, used only for in-app greetings
Deleting the app deletes all of it. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server-side copy of anything. If you want your kept fortunes outside the app, Settings offers a plain-text export through the iOS share sheet — it goes only where you send it.
Notifications
The one daily reminder is optional and scheduled locally on your device by iOS. It is only set up if you ask for it, and you can turn it off any time in the app’s settings or in iOS Settings.
Third parties
Morsel Jar contains no third-party code, no advertising or analytics SDKs, and no tracking of any kind. It never requests App Tracking Transparency permission because there is nothing to track.
Children
The app is rated 4+ and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If a future version ever changes any of this, this page and the App Store privacy label will be updated first, before that version ships.
